7 months

Lilla is now seven months old. I really cannot believe how fast time is passing us by. This has been my favortie age so far. She is finally sitting up very well on her own. She started doing this about a week after she turned six months old. It is so nice to be able to sit her on the floor with her toys. She would much rather do this than be confined to the swing, jumper, or bouncy seat. She is still very vocal. She has justed started squealing and thinks it is so funny. She still sleeps very well at night and we are still swaddling her. We have tried a few nights without the swaddle blanket and she did great the first couple of nights but by the third night not so great. She has a bla bla baby doll that has become her favorite lovey. She loves to snuggle up to it when sleeping. She tucks the doll right up under her cheek and it is so sweet. Lilla can now sit in a high chair when going out to eat. She thinks she is so big! She loves to drink out of our water glasses and always begs for a bite of whatever we are eating. She looks like a little bird. At six months we finally started introducing foods and she was so excited. So far we've tried rice cereal, green beans, sweet potatoes, peas, carrots, bannans, and peaches. The sweet potatoes and carrots are her favorite. She loves swinging in the front porch swing and this past weekend we took her on her first wagon ride which seemed to be a big hit. We are looking forward to the warmer weather so we can get outside and enjoy these things more. Lilla has just started noticing her big black brother Mac. She thinks he is so funny when he wags his tail or when her daddy lets her ride his back. Mac on the other hand really doesn't show Lilla too much attention. If she is crying he moans and quickly leaves the room.
On another note, this past weekend we loaded up and headed to the lake. Grover had signed up to do a 10k. About a month ago, we started doing P 90 X and he thinks he his now superman. He braved the cold and  finished the race in 38 place overall in 52 minutes and 34 seconds. Not bad considering he had not run in almost a year. Now if only I could get out there and run six miles with him.
